Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Privacy Statement

The Instabright International Journal of Education and Social Sciences (IIJESS) respects the privacy of authors, reviewers, editors, researchers, readers, and other individuals who interact with the journal.

This Privacy Statement explains how information provided to IIJESS through manuscript submission, peer review, publication, correspondence, and other journal-related activities is handled.

1. Information Collected

IIJESS may collect information necessary for the administration and publication of scholarly work, including:

  • Author names;
  • Institutional affiliations;
  • Email addresses;
  • ORCID information, when provided;
  • Corresponding author information;
  • Manuscript information;
  • Reviewer information; and
  • Publication-related correspondence.

The journal's author guidelines require the title, author/s' names, affiliation, corresponding author's email, and optional ORCID information as part of the manuscript submission information.

2. Use of Information

Information collected by IIJESS may be used for legitimate journal-related purposes, including:

  • Processing manuscript submissions;
  • Communicating with authors;
  • Coordinating peer review;
  • Managing editorial decisions;
  • Preparing accepted manuscripts for publication;
  • Issuing certificates and publication-related documents;
  • Maintaining publication records; and
  • Administering the journal's academic and editorial operations.

3. Peer Review Confidentiality

IIJESS implements a double-blind peer review process. The identities of authors and reviewers are protected during the review process to support fair and objective evaluation.

Reviewers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and information obtained during the review process.

4. Published Information

Information included in a published article may become publicly accessible as part of the journal's open-access publishing model.

IIJESS provides free and immediate access to published articles and distributes published works under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.

5. Protection of Research Participants

Authors are responsible for protecting the privacy and anonymity of research participants. Research involving human participants, institutions, or sensitive data must comply with appropriate ethical requirements. Authors must ensure anonymity for participants where applicable.

6. Data Confidentiality

IIJESS takes reasonable measures to protect confidential information submitted during the editorial and peer review process.

Confidential manuscript information shall not be disclosed to unauthorized persons except when disclosure is necessary for legitimate editorial, ethical, legal, or publication-related purposes.

7. Data Transparency and Verification

Authors may be required to provide raw or supporting data for research verification when appropriate. Such information will be handled responsibly and in accordance with applicable confidentiality and ethical requirements.

8. Third-Party Disclosure

Personal information shall not ordinarily be disclosed to unauthorized third parties. Information may be disclosed when necessary for legitimate journal operations, legal compliance, ethical investigations, publication integrity procedures, or other lawful purposes.

9. Authors' Rights

Authors retain copyright of their scholarly work while granting IIJESS the right to publish and disseminate the article.

10. Updates to This Statement

IIJESS may update this Privacy Statement when necessary to reflect changes in its editorial procedures, publication practices, technology, or applicable requirements.

Any significant changes will be appropriately communicated through the journal's official channels.
